Information
Of all the memories from childhood, I like to return to moods linked to conditions of light and space. They remind me of an original feeling of being present; as if the world is showing itself as for the first time.

At Bergagalleriet, Kenneth Pils shows paintings in watercolor technique where he seeks to evoke moods that for him are associated with places from his childhood. For Kenneth, his paintings / drawings of light, landscapes, houses, interiors, things, people and situations from childhood are more than they represents. They are associated with deeply stored, archetypal moods that he consciously and unconsciously refers to in his adult life. The artist's first important 18 years took place in Huskvarna. The topology of the landscape with all the slopes, streams and ravines, all the roads, houses and events of the working community that took place there gives him a strong and original feeling to draw strength from.

Places connected to childhood create contexts for lifelong and living moods that many refer to in their adult lives. The exhibition is a reminder that everyone has their own significant experiences from their childhood to resurrect.
